10/13/2021 URGENT Marching Band Transportation

Hello band families, If you filled out the PDF transportation form, I'm afraid you will need to fill out this online form instead. Sorry for the change.

UPDATE: I received word this morning that we are down to one bus for Saturday. There was confusion with the schedule and one of the drivers had to back out of the late night. The district is not optimistic about finding the two remaining drivers, which means that most of the band will need to drive. The school does not allow us to do ride sign-ups or facilitate carpools. We will have a list of those willing to drive other students, and each individual family will need to contact a driver and fill out a form. If possible, please find a ride for your child so that we can get everyone to the competition on Saturday. Instructions:

1. Click here to access the spreadsheet of drivers that can be found in the email you received from the band directors. We cannot post the link on this website for privacy reasons.

2. If you can drive, please add your name and contact info. There is plenty of room for instruments on the trucks so don't worry if your vehicle is small.

3. If you cannot drive, please contact one of the drivers to see if your child can ride with them.

4. Whether you are driving or riding, please fill out the transportation permission form online.

1. Oak Creek Marching Invitational -- THIS SUNDAY, October 3rd

Schedule:

9:45 am - Anyone loading trucks (including all Front Ensemble)

10:45 am - Report to MHS and change into uniform 11:30 am - Load buses for departure 1:45 pm - Arrive at Oak Creek High School (Concessions available or pack a lunch) 3:00 pm - Warm-up 3:45 pm - Middleton performs 4:15 pm - Awards Ceremony 4:45 pm - Load buses for home ~6:45 pm -Unload at MHS

Marching Band Updates - September 22, 2021

1. Reminders for Friday "Field Trip" Rehearsal Twice during the season we have "field trip" rehearsals. Students are excused from class during this time. We do not miss any school for competitions, and we do not have after-school practices, so this time is very important and all students are expected to attend. Students, you will miss Block 7 on Friday, so communicate with that teacher today and consider signing in there for today's ASR. Schedule for Friday: 11:30 all marching band students eat early lunch 12:00 all marching band students report to the band room 3:44 done by the end of school 2. Reminders for Sunday 9/26 Competition at Waukesha West Our first competition of the year is almost here! Schedule. - Report time is 10:15am. Do not be late. - Parents are encouraged to come out to watch the performance and cheer for the band! 3. "Band Camp" Day, Wednesday 9/29 We have one last full day of "band camp" next week Wednesday from 8:00-3:00. - Students have off from school this day. - Last chance for changes to the show based on judges' feedback. - Students may park in the student parking lot this day even without a permit. 3. Homecoming Parade, Wednesday 10/6 The spirit night parade is on Wednesday 10/6. As usual we will march with the 8th graders from KMS/GCMS. No uniforms, either do the school dress up day ("Twin Day") or wear Middleton gear. 4:30pm report to the band room to practice with 8th graders -- note: if you have sports practice, it is supposed to end early that day so report at 5:45 instead. 6:00pm parade begins 6:30pm (or earlier) parade ends 5. Homecoming Football Game, Friday 10/8 - Our final regular-season home game is 10/8 against Sun Prairie. - At homecoming we only play part of the field show because of other halftime events. If there are home playoff games later in the month, we usually play pep band only, so this will be our last home performance of the year. 6.
