7 o'clock Jazz Band
Practices are on Mondays
from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm in the Band Room.
The 7 O'Clock Jazz Band is the top auditioned ensemble. This is a standard-size big band that plays collegiate and professional level charts. Each year, this band submits a recording for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Essentially Ellington Festival.
Open to all students by audition.

The annual Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival is one of the most innovative jazz education events in the world. Each year, high school musicians from across North America travel to New York City to spend three days immersed in workshops, jam sessions, rehearsals and performance sat the “House of Swing,” Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
