MARCHING BAND VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS

The Marching Band relies on volunteer support to ensure a wonderful student experience. Volunteering is a great way to meet other families, have fun, and support this special high school experience.

Please consider volunteering at 3 events - many hands make light work!

Potluck for Students - Friday, August 16 at 5:00 pm

Please sign up to help with the Marching Band Student Potluck Dinner at MHS! This event occurs after marching practice & before Keva fun!

Marching Band parents and guardians are invited to sign up to bring food, provide supplies, and volunteer at the event. If you prefer to make a monetary donation to provide the needed items, please donate online with the "Donate" Button and email the treasurer to let us know! This volunteer opportunity is a wonderful way to get to know other parents/guardians, students, and teachers.

Thanks for helping make this night a success.

Equipment Team: Set Up & Take Down Performance

10 individuals are needed to help at every performance with mechanical props and set-up support for our show equipment. Responsibilities could include supervising students as they assist with building the sets before the Marching Band takes the field.

Photographer & Videographer

1 photographer and 1 videographer are needed at every performance and event!

Uniforms

Help students fit uniforms during band camp and change into/out of uniforms at performances.

Volunteers will help size and fit the band students into appropriate-sized uniforms to maintain a consistent look across the band. The uniforms have built-in adjustment snaps on pants and jacket sleeves, but minor alterations, light pressing or ironing, and spot cleaning can be a regular part of the job.

After home game performances, the uniform parents will assist students with hanging uniforms and returning them to storage. In the case of rain, uniform parents will help hang uniforms appropriately so they can dry in the band room overnight.

Driving the Uhaul

2 parents/guardians are needed to drive the instruments & equipment to every competition. Please see the calendar for exact dates & locations.

Band Parent Night

10 parents/guardians are needed to work at the check-in table outside the gates of the football field and to help family members line up before the recognition ceremony during half-time.
