How is music a part of your life?

Music has been and will always be a huge part of my life. Whether I’m listening to it while performing everyday tasks like studying, driving, or doing chores, or whether I’m picking up my violin to play my favorite tunes, music will always be with me.

Do you have any memories to share?

Some of my favorite memories of MHS Orchestra involved connecting with the music that we played. Finding meaning from a song and being able to express your emotions and feelings through music was such a beautiful thing, and sharing those moments of passion with my fellow performers and audience members was probably the most rewarding part of being in the orchestra. It’s the part that I miss the most. I remember playing Neissun Dorma, Turandot, during one of our concerts, and looking out into the audience, and seeing people crying because of how the music touched them, and that’s the moment that I realized how much of an impact that music could have on people.
