JAZZ BANDS
JAZZ LAB BAND
The Jazz Lab is a large group that allows all students to study jazz style and improvisation.
All instruments and ability levels are welcome.
Auditions are preferred but not required.
Practices are on Mondays
from 6:00 - 7:15 pm in the Band Room.

CARDINAL BIG BAND
In Cardinal Big Band, students develop fundamental jazz styles and learn to improvise in a big band setting. The emphasis is on improving performance skills and understanding of the big band idiom.
Open to all students by audition.
Practices are on Mondays from
6:00 - 7:15 pm in the Jazz / Percussion Room.

MIDDLETON JAZZ ORCHESTRA
The Middleton Jazz Orchestra is the second auditioned jazz band with standard instrumentation. It aims to teach students to play classic swing, Latin, funk, and more styles. Emphasis is on the high quality of performance.
Open to all students by audition.
Practices are Mondays from 7:30 - 9:00 pm
in the Jazz / Percussion Room.

7 O'CLOCK
JAZZ BAND
The 7 O'Clock Jazz Band is the top auditioned ensemble. This is a standard-size big band that plays collegiate and professional level charts. Each year, this band submits a recording for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Essentially Ellington Festival.
Open to all students by audition.
