1. View the 2019-2020 Concert Program. A huge "Thank You!" to Kate Easton and the Program Ad Committee for your hard work and dedication in contacting donors and publishing the 2019-2020 Concert Program!

2. Orchestra members performed at Attic Angels on November 17.

3. Congratulations to the band students who competed at PASIC from November 13-16 in Indianapolis, IN!

4. Bassoonists visited the University of Michigan to attend a concert and participate in private lessons with Dr. Jeffrey Lyman.

5. The fruit sales have ended! Thanks to the student selling success, there will be a lot of fruit to deliver! Please sign up to help at Delivery Day on Saturday, December 7.

6. The Jazz Cabaret and the Spring Supper planning committees are looking for volunteers!

1. Fruit Sale order forms are due on Monday, November 11! Online sales will remain open through Thursday, November 14. Order fruit!

4. Pep Band Season is here! View the Schedule

Details are pretty much the same as last year:

  • Each student in the band needs to attend 4 games during the year, including at least 1 before the end of the first semester. 

  • Sign-ups are in the band room.

  • The commitment for each game is from 6:30pm until about 9:00pm

  • Students receive service learning hours & band award points for participation. 

  • Can't make enough dates?  Make-ups happen during ASR (2 halves ASR = 1 game); see Mr. V and Mr. R for details.

5. Kenny Rampton visited MHS on November 5. Mr. Rampton taught master classes to the MHS jazz ensembles. Learn more


6. For students interested in auditioning for the Concerto-Aria-Dance Concert, please submit the audition form before winter break. Auditions are Tuesday, January 7 starting at 6:00 pm in the PAC.
