Hello Everyone,

Please see below for important updates and a few date changes/cancellations

Date Changes

Marching Band Potluck/KEVA same times, now 8/23/24 NOT 8/16/24

Volunteers needed for the Marching Band Potluck

Our current amazing head of the Marching Band Potluck will be graduating from the program this year and we'd love to train some additional volunteers on the process for this year and the future. If you're interested in volunteering your time, please reach out to me and I will put you in contact with our current head!

Additionally, we'll need some volunteers on the day of the potluck to help the event be successful! If you are able, please check the attached signup genius link to see what you could commit to. Thank you in advance, volunteers are what make this program run!

Date Cancellations

In an effort to maintain a feasible schedule for our students and reasonable time commitments, we will not be attending the following football games as a band as they are on Thursdays or Saturdays instead of the usual Friday nights. We will have more games next year as they return to more Friday nights. Students are obviously welcome to attend on their own to support our football team from the student section.

August 22nd

August 29th

October 5th

October 10th

These dates can be removed from calendars.

Percussion Camp

Percussion camp starts August 7th (10am-5pm THIS IS A CHANGE) and 8-9th @ 10am-4pm! If you need help on music or have questions, please reach out to a section leader or Patrick for additional information.

Sectionals

If you have not yet been able to attend, please plan on being at the last sectional on August 7th from 3-5pm! Every note we learn now is time saved putting the whole show together at Band Camp!

Drillmasters, Flip Folders, and Lyres (and additional items)

This is a friendly reminder to new members and any applicable others to purchase drillmasters, flip folders, and lyres. Links for all three can be found HERE. Flip Folders and Lyres are only applicable to wind players, and drill masters are applicable to all marching members (excluding colorguard). If you have questions, please reach out to a section leader regarding instrument specifics.

We also would ask those that are able to bring a three ring binder (ideally with page protectors) for drill purposes. It is by far the most effective way to make sure you don't lose drill as we will use it all season! If you don't already please also make sure you have a water bottle, athletic shoes, and some form of sunscreen for during band camp.

Physicals and Activities Registration

Please remember to register and submit your activities/athletic physical before the start of camp! Directions and additional information can be found HERE. We currently have approximately half the band cleared via submitted physicals, keep em coming!

Thanks for reading all the way through, we'll have some final pre-season updates next week!
