Hello band students and families,

Happy spring break! We hope you stay as happy and healthy as possible during the next week. Almost every class has now been outside for rehearsal, and it feels great to play our instruments again!

1. Marching Band 2021

Get excited for Marching Band 2021! As we have announced in class, we have a full marching band season planned for next fall. All the news and registration info can be found here. A few notes

  • ALL current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders (sorry, seniors) need to fill out the form - even if you're not planning to participate next year.

  • We have a new production team for drill and music this year, and we're pretty excited! Check out this example of their design work.

  • Kasey Graff and Patrick Coughlin return to coach color guard and percussion respectively, with more staff helping out.

  • Things are looking up for next fall, but in the worst-case scenario where the school cancels marching band for covid, fees will be fully refunded. See the handbooks on the website for more info.

2. Bring Instruments! Make sure you bring your instrument and music every day that you have in-person learning. Even if the forecast is for rain during the day, we will try to have class outside unless it is actually precipitating. 3. Solo & Ensemble Remember that our due date for the spring solo/ensemble festival is April 1st. All info here. 4. Flutes: UW-Whitewater Flute Day, April 10th Flute players, check out this free virtual flute festival at UW-Whitewater. There is no charge, but you do have to register. All info here. 5.

4. Flautas: UW-Whitewater Flute Day, 10 de abril
