Galin Education Talk Cancelled (Thursday 1/8)

Music Families,

I am writing to let you know that we will be canceling the Galin Education college talk scheduled for January 8.

We appreciate your interest and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We plan to offer this opportunity again in future years and are always happy to connect one-on-one with students or families who have music- or college-related questions in the meantime.

Symphonic/Chamber Winds Volunteer Tutoring Opportunity

Want to help some middle school students with their solos and ensemble?  Glacier Creek is looking for a few tutors for their after school solo and ensemble program.  It meets after school on Mondays or Tuesdays.  Sign up here if you can help for one or multiple days!

Solo & Ensemble Registration Information (DUE Tuesday 1/13)

Check out this information about solo & ensemble registration:

A. Finding an accompanist for your solo

If you are performing a solo that has a piano accompaniment, you have three options.

1. Find a pianist to play with you.

      (If you're having trouble finding someone, see  this doc.)

2. Play with a recording.

      (Most Class B and some Class A solos have a recording available.  Ask Mr. V.)

3. Perform unaccompanied.

      (Not really recommended; it's harder to present well.)

B. Registering 

The registration form is posted in Google Classroom and is due TUESDAY, January 13.  We will have class time this week to fill it out.
