We have an amazing group of volunteers that help to document all of the things we do in the program and the success of your students! Please feel free to give our photos page a visit.

State Updates/Schedule

As you will notice in the schedule below, there will be two options for return time. If we win first place, we will stay for the exhibition performance at 7pm and return around 9pm. If we do not win first, we will return closer to 5:30pm. We will try to communicate this via the BAND App on the day, or you can have your student reach out to you around 4pm. 

8:20am - Call time for all

8:50am - Inspection 

9:30am - Depart Middleton High School 

10:30am - Arrive UW-Whitewater (Bring a light snack to hold you until after the performance)

12:19pm - Warm Up Field 

12:49pm - Leave Warm Up

12:59pm - At Gate

1:12pm - Performance Time

~1:30pm - Photos 

~1:45pm - Salvation Circle

4:01pm - Awards Ceremony for AAAA and AA Bands

7:10pm - AAAA Champion Exhibition Performance

5:30pm/9pm - Return options to the Middleton High School

State Information

• Spectator Information,

    including the bag policy. 

  • Bags must be clear or smaller than 6.5" x 4.5."  

  • Exceptions are made for medical equipment, videography equipment and other essential items. Those bags are subject to search. UW-W Police Services will send spectators back to their vehicle if their bag is too large, please help share this information.

We'd love for as many families and friends to be present at state to cheer the band on! Lots of cheering, excitement, and clapping throughout is always helpful! Links to purchase tickets etc. are listed above, and we hope to see you there!

Student Awards Dinner

We will have a short dinner for students on Monday 10/19 4:30-5:30pm in the north commons. We will be getting Costco Pizza (Cheese and Pepperoni). This event is for students and an opportunity for them to connect and have some closure on the season (and give out a few student awards). If you're in jazz, you'll just head over to your first rehearsal right after!

MHS Bands: Fruit Sale Kickoff!

Welcome Band/Orchestra Families,

We are kicking off the largest annual fundraising effort for Band Boosters and Orchestra Boosters, and we need your help for it to be successful. The "Not Just Fruit Sale" starts October 8. Students heard all of the info in class last week, but we want to make sure that you also have the information. 

The sale runs from October 8 to November 4 at:

We are selling a variety of fruit/combination boxes, sausages, cheese, chocolate covered nuts and City Tins! If you have family/friends that are further away, they could buy a Mini Box ($29) that gets donated to Way Forward in Middleton or make a direct donation to either the Band Boosters or Orchestra Boosters.

All items are to be picked up on delivery day, Saturday, December 5th, from 8-Noon. When ordering, customers should identify a student contact by their proper name, who will get credit for the order. That student can deliver the order (if the customer requests student delivery) or you can pick up your own items on delivery day. It's strongly recommended that you ask friends/family to notify you if you are to deliver their order to them. 

Students who are credited with selling over $1,000 will receive $250 in their account to use for trips or solo and ensemble fees. This can be held for a future year's trip but must be used before they graduate. If they sell over $2,000, they will receive a credit of $500. To make this sale a complete success, we will need volunteers! In the next couple of weeks, we will send out a link to sign up for volunteer shifts and an update on how sales are going.

Please see below for updates and information regarding the next couple of weeks. We are in the final push and every rehearsal matters. Please do your best to be ahead of school work and other activities that you do so we can do our very best going into state!

• Additionally, attached are arrival instructions including where the most spectator parking will be.  Otherwise the information is predominantly for buses and trucks with equipment. 

Rehearsal Change for 10/12

We have been fortunate enough to secure a little extra field time on  10/12 and we will plan to take full advantage. That means we will go  8am-4pm on the 12th. There will be a break for lunch in the middle of the day, and we'll likely end a few minutes before 4pm for students that may have sports and other activities following rehearsal. 

Final Field Trip Rehearsal Reminders

As a reminder, we plan to use 10/14 as our last field trip rehearsal. IF that day has inclement weather that would prevent a rehearsal, we will instead use 10/15. This will be communicated on the 14th IF necessary. We will NOT use both days. Unless you hear anything, please plan to attend on the 14th and attend first lunch. 

A quick note: the system the school uses did not get the last field trip to the attendance office in the process last time, and the attendance was corrected and put in manually which can take time. We apologize for the delay, and it is hopefully correct from what we have been told. If the same thing happens next week, please be patient with our attendance office staff.
