3/6/24 - Annual Summer Music Camp Registration Open Now

Hello Band Families,

We are excited to announce that our Annual Band Camp is back by popular demand! The mission of this camp is to empower musicians by reinforcing a solid foundation of musical knowledge with a specific focus on both ensemble performance and individual skill enhancement while forming meaningful connections and lasting friendships. 

Students will spend time gaining invaluable insights through personalized guidance and mentorship to build their skill and prepare them for next year. Students will have direct instruction from accomplished professional musicians and university professors paired with local middle and high school educators. 

What does the camp include?

- Large Group instruction through large group band instruction to practice their skills. 

- Chamber Groups to collaborate, communicate, and refine their musical skills in a more personalized setting. 

- Masterclasses with professional educators specialized to each instrument to receive personalized guidance, feedback, and insights from a master performer and instructor.

When is camp?

June 10-14th at Middleton High School 

Grades 9-12: 9:00am - 4:00pm (Lunch on your own from 12-1pm) 

Grades 6-8: 8:30am - 12:00pm

Tuition Rates

Grades 9-12: $275 per student

Grades 6-8: $200 per student

Registration Deadline: May 15, 2024

3/5/24 - Marching Band Calendar 2024-2025

Hello everyone,

As families are likely starting to schedule summer plans, attached at this link is the marching band handbook for next year with a calendar at the bottom including summer and school year dates.

Registrations are not until April 1st, however, we wanted to make sure families have the information they need to make decisions before registration opens.

2/7/24 - Important Updates

Reminders about a few upcoming events and deadlines:

1. WSMA District Solo/Ensemble THIS SATURDAY 2/10

• Volunteers Needed! -- Sign up here.

• Final schedule -- Click here.

2. New Orleans Tour Forms DUE THIS FRIDAY 2/9

See the previous email for details.  (Sent to whatever email you used to register for the trip)

• Permission form -- everyone attending the trip must return this form.

• Medication form -- only if your student will be taking medication on the trip.

3. Final Pep Band THIS FRIDAY 2/9

Remember that our final pep band of the season is Friday night!  All pep bands and make-ups must be in by the end of the week.  (You need 3 total for the year.)  Need a last-minute make-up?  Consider:

• Volunteering at WSMA District Solo & Ensemble this Saturday.

• Attending the Verona Area Concert Band concert this Thursday night, or any other classical or jazz concert in the community.  (Take a printed program and complete the write-up in Google Classroom.)

• Emailing Mr. Rothacker immediately about a Friday ASR make-up.
