We hope this email finds you well. We want to remind you about the exciting opportunity to join the Middleton High School Band on our upcoming trip to New Orleans from March 23rd-27th. Registration is closing this Sunday, 10/29 so please get all interested students and accompanying adults registered.

Dear Middleton High School Band Parents and Students,

We want to remind you that New Orleans registration is open currently and will be closing 10/29/23.

We are excited to announce the upcoming Middleton High School Band's Spring Break New Orleans Tour, an incredible opportunity for our talented musicians to explore the vibrant musical culture and history of one of America's most iconic cities. This tour promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with music, culture, and camaraderie.

Tour Details:

  • Destination: New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Departure Date: Morning of 3/21/24

  • Return Date: Evening of 3/27/24

  • Tour Duration: Seven Days

  • Cost: $1539

  • Scholarship Applications available HERE

Tour Highlights:

  1. Musical Experiences:

    • Performances at renowned local venues, providing our students with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents and connect with the local community.

    • Workshops and masterclasses with local musicians to gain insight into different musical traditions and styles.

    • A visit to the New Orleans Jazz Heritage Museum and Preservation Hall to explore the roots of jazz music.


  1. Cultural Exploration:

    • Guided tours of the French Quarter, Garden District, and other historic neighborhoods to learn about the city's rich history and architecture.

    • Visits to world-class museums, such as the National WWII Museum and the New Orleans Museum of Art.

    • Experiencing the vibrant and unique culture of New Orleans, including its cuisine, street performances, and local traditions.


  1. Social Bonding:

    • A chance for students to bond with their peers and create lasting memories together.

    • Free time for students to explore the city, shop, and enjoy the local cuisine.

    • Evening activities, group meals, and sightseeing that will enhance our students' sense of community.


Important Notes:

  • This tour is open to all band members and will be chaperoned by our staff and parent voulenteers.

  • Fundraising opportunities and payment plans are available to help offset the cost of the tour.

  • We will provide a detailed itinerary and packing list closer to the departure date.

Hello everyone,


Firstly, a HUGE congratulations to everyone for their hard work over the season and your performance at state! The band placed 4th with a first-division award and a best color guard caption! A big thank you to seniors who are graduating after this season; it has been a pleasure to work with you over the last few years.


Please see below for some end-of-season updates and information!


Student End of Season Celebration - 10/20 @ 5 pm

We'll have some pizza for everyone, time to hang out, and some student-chosen awards to hand out! We'll be in the North Commons!


Football Playoff Game - 10/20 @ 6:20 pm

We'll be supporting our football team in their run for playoffs this Friday, playing pep band music. We will NOT be performing our competitive show and will only be playing pep band music during the night. Please feel free to wear whatever you'd like. Warm clothes and cardinal colors are ideal! We'll swing over after the end-of-season celebration!
