2/10/25 - Join the Band Boosters as the New Website Chair!

Dear Band Parents,

I am reaching out to the MHS band community to find someone to take on the role of Website Chair for the Band Boosters.

This position involves updating the website 2–5 times weekly to keep it fresh, informative, and engaging for band families and the community. You’ll also design images for events, activities, and fundraisers to help promote the MHS Band program. As Website Chair, you’ll support sales and fundraising by setting up online stores and ticketed events. Collaboration is another essential part of this role, as you’ll work closely with the Social Media Chair to ensure website content aligns with social media updates. Ideally, this would be a two-year commitment or longer.

You do not need prior experience to take on this role; you just need the time and interest to learn and the ability to make timely updates. It’s an excellent way to get involved.

1/31/25 Reminders for WSMA State Honors

Just a few quick reminders for those of you auditioning tomorrow (or next Saturday) for WSMA State Honors Band/Orchestra/Jazz:

1. Make sure you have checked the official schedule.

2. Make sure you come with all required parts of your audition.

3. Make sure you have read all of the audition day instructions.

   1. N.B. An original purchased copy ("judge's copy") - NOT A PHOTOCOPY - of your solo is required.  Stop by the band room this afternoon for last-minute problem solving.

4. Take your instrument home in advance.  The MHS band room is an audition site tomorrow and you may not have easy access.  Do not warm up outside of the designated warm-up rooms even though you are familiar with the school.

1/30/25 Feb 6 Pep Band Cancelled

Hello,

The February 6th Pep Band date will be cancelled as we double booked over Glacier Creek Middle School. If you already signed up to attend as instructed in the band room, you will receive credit for this game. If you did not sign up and are looking for a concert to attend, that same night Feb. 6th at 7:30pm, the Verona Area Concert Bands are performing at Verona Area High School. We apologize for any inconvenience. The next (and last) pep band dates are still Feb. 13th and Feb. 20th.
