August 25, 2018 Good Neighbor Festival Info

Hello marching band,

Here are a few last-minute details about the parade tomorrow.  Everything should be the same as we covered yesterday during camp.

1. Timeline:  9:00am Report to MHS band room (leave extra time if you need to park) and change into polos  9:20am Learn/review parade fundamentals and parade tune (Billie Jean)  10:30am March to parade lineup spot on University Ave near the old Sonic

12:00pm Parade begins.  We are entry #14 ~12:50pm Return to band room and dismiss

2. Dress  With humidity and high temperatures in the forecast, we will not be wearing full uniforms for the parade.  Please wear the following:

Top: Maroon MHS Band polo (provided in the morning)  Bottom: Non-athletic shorts (preferably khaki, navy, brown, or black - if not, jean shorts or other muted colors are acceptable)  Socks: unassuming, ankle-high or shorte r

Shoes: Closed-toe, lace-up shoes (absolutely no flip flops or sandals)

3. Stay Safe  - Water will be provided while we are lining up for the parade.  - Wear sunscreen!  - Don't forget to eat breakfast before you come.

Congratulations on a great first week of camp!  We almost have the entire show on the field and can devote next week to some much-needed cleaning to be ready for the season.  See you tomorrow!
